You have done a wonderful job making the hotel and garden so safe and a treat to enjoy!
It was our first time to be away from home since the start of COVID so we were nervous but were reassured on entering the hotel.

Kelly Wedding Anniversary
I would like to thank all the staff of the Minella for taking such good care of my Mam & Dad on their recent stay for their 51st wedding anniversary. They had a wonderful time, the accommodation, meal and drinks were perfect and all the staff went above and beyond expectations to make their anniversary special.

Staycationing 2020
When considering somewhere to Holiday in Covid19 times, that’s Safe with Great Accommodation, Leisure Centre and always serves Good Food.
Our family of 4 made the right decision for “Staycation 2020” We had the most fantastic holiday this August 2020, Two weeks in a very well appointed 3 bed town house, part of the Courtyard accommodation at the Hotel Minella in Clonmel Co. Tipperary.
So much to visit and do nearby , Ormond Castle, Rock of Cashel, Mitchelstown Cave, Cahir Castle, Swiss Cottage, Fethard Horse Experience, Club Minella Leisure Centre, County Museum, The Suir Blue Tipperary Adventure and the Minella Racing Farm.
The Nallen’s are fantastic hosts and left no stone unturned to ensure we enjoyed our stay, Elizabeth John Rhys and Conor always seemed to be on duty with their excellent team (special mention to Helen at reception, Ciara in Restaurant and Chef Isteven for those Cakes & Desserts ).
We’ll be back...... Thank you Hotel Minella.

Minella hotel
4 of us visited minella hotel on 11 sept we have to say what a warm greeting on arrival from front of house.Rest of staff were just as good. we had the best of food in the restaurant on 3 occasions Rooms were of the highest standard Breakfast was again faultless.
Lovely touch fresh flowers from the gardens every day around tables .Upon leaving a lovely cake to bring homeThis was a lovely gem to find in Clonmel Looking foward tk going back
A gem of a hotel
We stayed here in August for a week - knew nothing about it beforehand but was attracted by the location and the fact they had lodges on the grounds of the hotel. We were a party of four and found the two bed lodge perfect for our needs - one bedroom was a double and the second a twin. The living room is upstairs along with a small balcony(only fits two) which we were able to use as the weather was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed as we did eat in twice - got delivery from local takeaways. We did also eat a number of times in the hotel and again we struck it lucky as we were able to eat outdoors - on the evening we arrived they had a live band and a bar-b-q which was a welcome treat after months of lockdown. We were very well looked after by all the staff who were all very pleasant and welcoming. The food was delicious - our first taste of restaurant food since March! There is a fabulous leisure centre which was in such good condition I did ask the owner was it recently built - it wasn't! We did have to book times for swims and the gym but none of this was a problem and all covid regulations were taken very seriously both here and throughout the hotel. We did get to talk to both John and Elizabeth - the owners and thanked them for a wonderful stay - on three occasions we went back to our lodge to discover baked goodies for us - it's the little touches that make the difference alongside a staff that couldn't do enough for you. A fabulous hotel in a gorgeous setting.

We stayed here in the August bank holiday. Everything was 5 stars, very well organised and all the staff were very welcoming. Our room was very spacious and inviting- love that we had netflix and youtube. I requested a cot and a fridge- we did a room change and within minutes of check in.... they were brought to us. I really like that they have hand santisers in the room for you- that is a lovely little touch in these strange times. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Loved the grounds and the playground. The pool was another bonus. Everyone was social distancing and they were plenty of signs around the hotel. The way the hotel was run, you would never think they were restrictions.... and to be honest that is all you want when you are away. We will be returning, its my partners favorite hotel.

My mother recently celebrated her 93rd birthday at Minella. She and my family were treated like royalty. The food and service amazing. Special thanks to Katie for presenting my mum with a laminated card she made herself. Box of chocolates given to mum by Liz, the owner, much appreciated. Overall a wonderful experience. Thank you.
Visited Hotel Minella late July for a short break. We arrived in the rain, warmly greeted and offered coffee delivered to our room. Great location for a walking holiday, the blueway is directly across the river, also lots of other destinations nearby.
We found the hotel staff to be very helpful in every way, and were happy to see that Covid regulations were being observed

Our meal was fantastic and the staff could not have been more attentive.
It was great to spend the evening with friends and family in such a relaxed atmosphere.

A great location, natural beauty all around. Away from hustle and bustle which I prefer. Refreshed my mind, body and soul. Food was fabulous and people just fantastic. Would certainly come back one day.

I stayed here for a friend's wedding. It's a lovely place, lovely grounds and great ambiance. The staff were polite, courteous and efficient. The room was spacious and spotless. I arrived very very late (in the middle of the night). It was not a problem.
Just Perfect
Just back home from a wonderful weekend in Hotel Minella with our hillwalking club. There were so many positives about our stay including the quality of the rooms, the standard of the dinners and the facilities in the leisure centre. Best of all were the friendliness of the staff, especially Liz, the coffee and cakes when we arrived back from the mountains and the excellent breakfasts. I have rarely seen so many attentive staff at a buffet breakfast ensuring that everything was kept topped up and that there were no bottlenecks. The quality of all the food was particularly good and a very nice touch was the identification of all the local Tipperary suppliers involved. Before leaving I picked up a usefull guide produced by the Tipperary Food Producers Network and hopefully will be able to source some of their products in Dublin.

It was wonderful to have 2 nights with you at the Minella earlier this month. Your hotel holds many wonderful memories for me and my husband. Bringing a tour group in was on my bucket list. Our group of 18 and our driver enjoyed our time at the Minella. Our meals were all wonderful, especially our dinners. Elizabeth, the caps were such a nice touch. I was in Clonmel for the recent bike race, Cormac, my son was staying with you as part of Tralee MW cycling team. Unfortunately I was up and down daily from Kenmare but got to enjoy an excellent bar lunch and savour the very special atmosphere in The Minella. It truly is a credit to you both, from the beautiful home-grown Hydrangeas and Sweet pea to the wonderful, engaging and enthusiastic young staff it was lovely to be there. You can be very proud of all of them, the service and the property. I had greasy oily fingers most of the time as manager/Mechanic for the team so although I saw you both I didn’t want to impose.
I hope you continue to be very busy and successful as you richly deserve to be. Your standard of hotelmanship is to be admired.

Hi as President of the Peninsula Society I would like to thank you very much for a really wonderful few days …20th july everything was just perfect…. even down to Rose you brought the dog called Bo Bo which was the name of my late husband ( his 21st Anna is today) she also took a photo of me and Bo Bo and sent them to me which was really fantastic !!!!!!!

This is a long overdue expression of gratitude for the truly wonderful stay we had at your Hotel around 28th July this year.It was a sad occasion as it was my Mother’s Funeral which brought us all back to Clonmel but you all made us so welcome and for us (myself, my brother and sister-in-law) it was so handy to stay in one of the attached cottages. Family members travelled down for the day and we were all touched by the hospitality and understanding you showed each and everyone of us. We will indeed be returning and I would not dream of staying anywhere else. Huge thanks and good wishes to you all for a happy Christmas.

I just finished my seventh trip to Ireland. We stayed in five different hotels this trip. I was on the 206 Tours – In the footsteps of St. Patrick. Your hotel should have five stars for the way travelers are treated by your staff, the meals and deserts were by far the best! The rooms were beautiful. And there are NO words to describe your gardens, even this late in the season. I can never wait to return to Ireland and I will make sure to stay with you at least two nights, if not three! Thank you for being the brightest accommodation spot on my holiday!

All of you whom we met, the lady who served us in the dining room, the lady at the reception desk and the lady we took to be the manager could not have been kinder to us. We want to thank the chef and kitchen staff for a magnificent meal and the beautifully inscribed cake which we brought home with us and enjoyed later in the day. Just back now from a weekend in hotel minella, and could not fault the place, excellent value for money, super service, they organised horse trekking for us as part of a deal, staff were so pleasant and helpful, especially Helen on reception and ailish(I think) who does the spa treatments, and John the owner who filled us in on spots to go for food and drink etc…

Quaint, traditional, warm. Many times I have stayed here and never a regret. I’m a US traveler (business) and really appreciated the feel of this hotel. Grab a guiness and listen to the locals – extremely friendly owners and locals. There is a gym on-site and the river is worth getting up early for a walk. I will miss the shaggy sheepdog that once greeted their guests and hope to see pictures of him on my next stay!

I was in Clonmel for the recent bike race, Cormac, my son was staying with you as part of Tralee MW cycling team. Unfortunately I was up and down daily from Kenmare but got to enjoy an excellent bar lunch and savour the very special atmosphere in The Minella. It truly is a credit to you both, from the beautiful home-grown Hydrangeas and Sweet pea to the wonderful, engaging and enthusiastic young staff it was lovely to be there. You can be very proud of all of them, the service and the property. I had greasy oily fingers most of the time as manager/Mechanic for the team so although I saw you both I didn’t want to impose.
I hope you continue to be very busy and successful as you richly deserve to be. Your standard of hotelmanship is to be admired.

This is a long overdue expression of gratitude for the truly wonderful stay we had at your Hotel around 28th July this year.It was a sad occasion as it was my Mother’s Funeral which brought us all back to Clonmel but you all made us so welcome and for us (myself, my brother and sister-in-law) it was so handy to stay in one of the attached cottages. Family members travelled down for the day and we were all touched by the hospitality and understanding you showed each and everyone of us. I just finished my seventh trip to Ireland. We stayed in five different hotels this trip. I was on the 206 Tours – In the footsteps of St. Patrick. Your hotel should have five stars for the way travelers are treated by your staff, the meals and deserts were by far the best! The rooms were beautiful. And there are NO words to describe your gardens, even this late in the season. I can never wait to return to Ireland and I will make sure to stay with you at least two nights, if not three! Thank you for being the brightest accommodation spot on my holiday!

All of you whom we met, the lady who served us in the dining room, the lady at the reception desk and the lady we took to be the manager could not have been kinder to us. We want to thank the chef and kitchen staff for a magnificent meal and the beautifully inscribed cake which we brought home with us and enjoyed later in the day. Just back now from a weekend in hotel minella, and could not fault the place, excellent value for money, super service, they organised horse trekking for us as part of a deal, staff were so pleasant and helpful, especially Helen on reception and ailish(I think) who does the spa treatments, and John the owner who filled us in on spots to go for food and drink etc…

Quaint, traditional, warm. Many times I have stayed here and never a regret. I’m a US traveler (business) and really appreciated the feel of this hotel. Grab a guiness and listen to the locals – extremely friendly owners and locals. There is a gym on-site and the river is worth getting up early for a walk. I will miss the shaggy sheepdog that once greeted their guests and hope to see pictures of him on my next stay!
